ADLs: ADLs refer to basic activities needed for daily functioning. Bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, mobility, and toileting are among these activities.
Alzheimer's Disease: There are several important aspects of Alzheimer's disease, including memory loss, communication, behavior, and thinking. This disorder is a progressive neurodegenerative disease and serious mental disorder caused by a malfunctioning of the brain.
Care Plan (or Plan of Care): The care plan outlines tasks and goals that caregivers can use to ensure the wellbeing of the patient physically, mentally, and emotionally. A description of the home care services the client will require and when the client wishes to initiate care is presented in this document. In order to provide the best care to its clients, KHOBCARE, LLC develops an individual and completely confidential Plan of Care for each one.
Change in Condition Monitoring: Caretakers perform this task by observing clients and recording/reporting any changes in behavior that may be mental, physical, or emotional.
Companion Care: Companionship, or companionship, is an important form of non-medical support for the elderly, including emotional support, friendship, and socialization. The most common activities are conversation, mental stimulation (playing games, going for walks, listening to music), meal preparation, laundry and light housekeeping, grocery shopping and errands, transportation to appointments and social events, and hygiene reminders. Our caregivers also communicate with loved ones and remind clients to take their medications. We also focus on activities that are fun, provide mental stimulation, and promote physical and emotional wellness. Providing companionship is key to maintaining positive mental health and preventing loneliness and isolation.
End-of-Life Care:It is not uncommon for a loved one who is diagnosed with a limited life expectancy to express a strong desire to spend the last days of his or her life at home. With the assistance of a hospice agency or medical provider, KHOBCARE, LLC supports seniors and their loved ones by providing them with the care they need. The services we provide will include assistance with the care of your loved one, as well as providing emotional and moral support to the family.
Home Care or In-Home Care:Generally speaking, in-home care refers to non-medical care, such as companionship, homemaking services, and personal care. In-home care can refer to medical care as well as non-medical care in the home.
Home Health Aide: Both home health aides and caregivers are interchangeable terms.With KHOBCARE, LLC's home health aide services, you can receive companionship, personal care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance. Among these services are assistance with mobility and safety, meal preparation and housekeeping, transportation to appointments and social events, and activities that promote engagement, purpose, connection and joy.
Hospice Care: Hospice care focuses on providing comfort care and family support to patients who are suffering from a serious illness.It is important to note that in hospice care situations, medical professionals have stopped attempting to cure or treat the disease as a result of the advanced stage of the illness.
IADLs: It is important to improve the quality of life of clients by providing them with instruments of daily living (IADLs). The IADLs include shopping, paying bills, household duties.
Incontinence: Loss of control over the bladder or bowels is defined as incontinence.
Memory Care: The aim here is to provide long-term care that meets the needs of individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, or other types of memory problems.
Mobility Assistance: Mobility assistance includes any activity to assist someone that needs help moving.
Respite Care: Respite care is defined as the transfer of primary caregiving responsibilities to another person, typically a professional caregiver, relative or friend, in order for primary caregivers to receive temporary relief from caregiving responsibilities.
Sundowners Syndrome: Also known as Sundown Syndrome or Sundowning Syndrome: Is a condition most often associated with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Sundowning typically occurs in the late afternoon or early evening, and can include a period of confusion, agitation, irritability, or restlessness. For some, it continues into the night and can make sleep difficult.
